The Institutional Effectiveness Division is focused on making sure the California Community Colleges is effectively serving its students. It does so largely by overseeing the Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative, commonly referred to as IEPI.
IEPI is a collaborative, statewide effort aimed at advancing the impact and practices of the California Community Colleges and, in the process, significantly reducing the number of accreditation sanctions and state and federal audit issues.
Most importantly, IEPI seeks to enhance the California Community Colleges ability to improve student success in measurable ways. An important focus of the Initiative is to draw upon the expertise and innovation that exists within the system to advance promising practices and avoid potential pitfalls.
The two primary components of IEPI include: professional development; and technical assistance.
