Technology and innovation are critical in supporting the Chancellor's Office, districts and individual colleges to strengthen the student experience and ensure equitable outcomes.
Information Security, Technology and Innovation (ISTI) ensures the California Community Colleges have the technology, digital infrastructure and data to power transformational change to make sure our institutions truly work for all students regardless of region, race, ethnicity, class and gender. To improve their outcomes, we oversee data governance, information security and enterprise architecture, and we support the following:
-
Reimagine Apply
The Chancellor’s Office, in partnership with Higher Digital, is advancing the development of a new student-centered application process and supporting system architecture for our prospective and returning students. -
Data Governance Advisory Workgroup (DGAW)
The Data Governance Advisory Workgroup provides ongoing advice, counsel, and feedback to the Chancellor’s Office on community colleges’ information technology and data governance policy and operations. -
Common Cloud Data Platform
The Common Cloud Data Platform demonstration project seeks to address a key data shortcoming among California community colleges.
