Sacramento, Calif. California Community Colleges Chancellor Eloy Ortiz Oakley issued the following statement on the 2020 presidential election outcome:

“On behalf of the California Community Colleges, I congratulate Joe Biden on his projected victory in the presidential election. Voters have elected a president who will represent all Americans and who understands and values public education. President-elect Biden is a proven leader who knows the essential role that our nation’s community colleges play in our democracy, our economy and the American Dream. We are committed to working with the president-elect, his transition team and his administration to move our students and our country forward together.”
