State Implementation
The Career Technical Education Act of 2006 was signed into law on August 12, 2006. The Act required that the state submit a new State Plan for Career Technical Education in Spring 2008. The Chancellor's Office developed these pages to bring the human resources of California and the community colleges in particular to bear on the development of issue papers that were used to inform policy as the new state plan for Career Technical Education was developed.

Career Technical Education (CTE) Resource Guide for the Carl D. Perkins Title I, Part C Basic Grant Funds
The CEP Unit has developed a Career Technical Education (CTE) Resource Guide for the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Title IC Basic Grant Funds, Revised June 2012 (PDF). The purpose of the CTE Resource Guide is to provide rules, regulations and reporting requirements for Perkins funds and to also provide links too many resources that we feel are important for CTE Deans, Administrators and staff at the community colleges. Questions about the Career Technical Education Resource Guide may be directed to your Project Monitor. Suggestions for future revisions or additions are welcome.
