Assembly Bill 183 appropriates $8 million in on-going funding to the California Community Colleges system to provide culturally responsive services to enhance student educational experiences and promote higher education success for low- income, underserved, and first generation Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students and other underrepresented students.
The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) was selected as the Central Office to establish the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Student Achievement Program "to ensure the success of underserved AANHPI students by providing policy guidance, technical assistance, and by fostering partnerships with community colleges throughout the state."
