Take Action During Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Awareness Month

Registration Open for Pathways to Equity | Change Regional Convenings

The third installment of Pathways to Equity, the Change Regional Convenings, will be held virtually on April 15, April 22 and May 6. These regional convenings will support college teams in creating transformative, equity-based change that builds toward the Vision for Success.

April is Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Awareness Month for California community colleges. So it is fitting that in April we begin the Change Regional Convenings to collaborate, network, share strategies and implement plans that work toward a more equitable, diverse and inclusive college environment and support student success.

Colleges are already working on many important projects and our goal is to help these teams intentionally plan their (re)design and implementation process. At a time of significant change, college teams don’t need to identify a new project but instead bring to the regional convenings a project that is set to be implemented in the next 6 to 18 months. This convening will provide a framework for collective campus action, knowledge and skills for collaborative design, and lessons learned from across the state.

Guided Pathways coordinators on each campus have been asked to serve as or identify a point of contact. Most campuses will register a small team of 5-7 people to attend this convening. Please connect with your college point of contact before registering for this event.

TIME AND DATES:  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 15, April 22 and May 6.
REGISTRATION:  Contact your college point of contact for the Change Regional Convenings, then register by April 4!
