PROVIDING VETERAN STUDENTS WITH SUPPORT IN THE VETERANS SERVICES CENTER AT IRVINE VALLEY COLLEGE

On Nov. 11, Veterans Day, we honor all who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Veterans Services Center at Irvine Valley College honors student veterans throughout the year by providing support and resources to help them succeed in their academic and professional goals.

The Veterans Services Center is featured in a video from the “Stories from the Field” series in the Vision Resource Center. In the video, center administrators discuss how the center was founded, the support they received and the ongoing efforts to nurture a welcoming campus culture for all veteran students. The center offers many programs including counseling services, mentors, an app designed for veterans and events.

The Veterans Services Center was a 2017-18 Chancellor's Higher Education Innovation Awards recipient, which recognizes innovative programs that improve student success and are sustainable and capable of being scaled across the state.

To learn more about the Veteran Services Center and find contact information, please first log into the Vision Resource Center and then follow this link to the community post about the Veterans Services Center.
