Building Systems and Structures for Black Student Success

Join us for Black Student Success Week!
 
It's time for Black Student Success Week, an initiative that will focus on successful approaches to ensuring Black and African American students succeed at California community colleges. The week-long event will begin on Monday, April 24 and end on Friday, April 28, 2023.
 
The week-long virtual event will focus on successful approaches to ensuring Black and African American students succeed at California community colleges. The schedule of virtual activities for the week includes:

  • The Black Hour: A series of daily webinars hosted from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
  • The After Party: A series of daily small group discussion forums held from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
  • The BlackOut: A virtual advocacy day event held on April 27, 2023

Scaling Innovation for Student Success

The 2017-18 Chancellor's Higher Education Innovation Awards recognized the development of emerging practices that substantially change student outcomes. The awards supported innovation that had been scaled or was in the process of being scaled at a California community college or district. This module emphasizes principles for innovating at scale, sharing insights from our awardees’ learning journeys and demonstrating how transformative change happens within our system. LAUNCH MODULE
