Guided Pathways 2.0 Project Insights

New resources to support Guided Pathways implementation are available in the Vision Resource Center! There are two new briefs in the Guided Pathways Playbook series, “Leading Holistic Student Support Reform” and “Building a Big Tent for Leading Change.” The “Leading Holistic Student Support Reform” brief elevates promising practices and strategies from community colleges across the nation designing and implementing equity-focused and student-centered Student Success Teams (SST) on their campuses. The “Building a Big Tent for Leading Change” brief provides practical examples of how colleges can lead change at an institutional level by building a broad-based coalition of support and features Norco College and Miracosta College.

These briefs are being curated as a collection titled “Guided Pathways Playbook,” which will continue to develop along with the institutes and webinars through 2023. The briefs, recordings, and resources from most presentations at Guided Pathways 2.0 institutes and webinars are available in the Vision Resource Center Guided Pathways community in the Guided Pathways 2.0 folder (found under “Topics” in the main Guided Pathways community). You must be signed in to the Vision Resource Center to access these links.

Save the Date - Tuesday, January 11, 2023

Mark your calendars for a virtual event on Tuesday, January 11, 2023 on the recent regulatory changes to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) programs, the new EEO plan template and available EEO-related resources.

In July of 2021, the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges adopted new EEO regulations to provide the necessary framework for more robust and accountable EEO programs. After receiving approval to implement the regulations from the Department of Finance (DOF) this fall, the Chancellor’s Office has now finalized guidance and a new EEO plan template for community college districts to begin structuring EEO programs and drafting their new EEO plans consistent with the requirements of the new regulations, after expiration of the 9-month extension that had been granted districts while awaiting DOF approval of the regulations.  This webinar will explain the new EEO program requirements, introduce the new EEO plan template, and explain the process for districts to submit their new EEO plans.  In addition, we will review EEO-related resources that will be made available to the system through the Vision Resource Center and other avenues.

Register to attend here. Please contact Alina Cortes-Quintana at aquintana@cccco.edu with questions.

For more information of Equal Employment Opportunity and resources, we invite you to join the Vision Resource Center’s Equal Employment Opportunity online community!
