IEPI awards a one-year Seed Grant to institutions that receive PRT support and submit an Innovation and Effectiveness Plan. The grant amounts are as follows:
- Up to $250,000 for institutions supported by a Full-PRT
- Up to $100,000 for those supported by a Mini-PRT
The Santa Clarita Community College District serves as the fiscal agent for the IEPI Grant and administers Seed Grant awards to eligible colleges, districts, and centers.
Grant Disbursement Timeline
Institutions become eligible for full grant funding upon completion of two PRT visits and submission of both the I&EP and signed Seed Grant Agreement. Once all signatures are obtained, the funding process begins. Institutions typically receive funds within 4-6 weeks.
Reporting Requirements
Throughout the 12-month grant period, institutions are required to submit a 6-month and 12-month final report. A final budget report must be submitted at the end of the grant period and is required before the institution may submit a new Letter of Interest for additional PRT support.
