TOP to CIP Noncredit Mapping
As part of statewide curriculum modernization and the implementation of Common Course Numbering, the California Community Colleges is transitioning from Taxonomy of Programs (TOP) codes to Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP) codes for all programs and courses.
The CIP codes below serve as examples for noncredit programs and can be used by colleges to identify the most appropriate CIP code that aligns with an existing TOP code as they prepare for this transition.
