Across the California Community Colleges, Admissions and Records offices administer essential functions including admissions, registration, residency determination, transcript and academic record management, enrollment and prerequisite processing, degree and certificate evaluation, graduation, credit for prior learning, and other services that support student access and success.

The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office provides statewide guidance, resources, technical assistance, and professional development to support Admissions and Records professionals in implementing California Education Code, Title 5 regulations, and other applicable state and federal requirements.

    Admissions and Records Training Modules

    Access self-paced training through the Vision Resource Center designed for both new and experienced Admissions and Records professionals. Current topics include residency, dual enrollment, credit course repetition, intersections with financial aid, and reporting and audits.

    To access the training modules:

    • Log in to the Vision Resource Center
    • Select the Search icon
    • Search for Admissions and Records for New Directors
    • Select the desired module
    • Complete the module and evaluation to receive a certificate of completion

    Admissions and Records Learning Community

    Connect with Admissions and Records professionals across the California Community Colleges through the CCC | Admissions and Records Professionals Learning Community in the Vision Resource Center.

    The Learning Community serves as a centralized space for Admissions and Records resources, guidance, and professional learning. Members can access the Admissions and Records Handbook, Chancellor’s Office guidance, technical assistance and webinar materials, New Directors Training resources, and other tools supporting the field. Resources are organized by topic and continue to evolve as new guidance, training, and materials become available.
