Vice Chancellor for Internal Operations Kelley Maddox oversees the division responsible for administrative support services necessary to help the Chancellor’s Office pilot the strategic success of our community colleges and students. The division is responsible for meeting the significant needs of the Chancellor’s Office and community colleges by delivering a broad range of support services in the following areas: human resources, business services, and accounting. Vice Chancellor Maddox is responsible for aligning internal operations with the Vision for Success.

Before joining the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, Vice Chancellor Maddox worked at the California Student Aid Commission, where she served as the Deputy Director of Fiscal and Administrative Services responsible for the Commission’s human resources, procurement, business services, budgets and accounting to support policy and functions related to funding higher education for low income Californians. Prior to joining the California Student Aid Commission, she served for 15 years in the California Department of Public Health working her way through control functions of procurement, accounting, human resources, budgets and auditing within the Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention program

Vice Chancellor Maddox earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from California State University, Chico with a minor in Business Administration. Prior to attending CSU, Chico, she attended Shasta Community College in Redding, California and is proud to represent the community colleges at this stage in her career. Vice Chancellor Maddox is also a certified yoga instructor and stays active in the yoga community.
