The Contracting Unit within the General Counsel's Office is responsible for processing contracts and grants with community college districts on behalf of the Board of Governors. The Board of Governors is exempt from many provisions of the Public Contracting Code. The Chancellor's Office contracts on behalf of the Board of Governors, pursuant to a delegation of authority in Article II of the Board of Governors Procedures and Standing Orders.
