Assistant Vice Chancellor of College Finance and Facilities Planning Wrenna Finche oversees division operations in support of promoting district fiscal health and aligning budget policy with the Vision for Success. Before stepping into the role of Assistant Vice Chancellor, she served as the Director of Fiscal Standards and Accountability since 2017 and was responsible for district financial reporting, fiscal health monitoring, annual audits, attendance accounting and residency, compliance reporting, numerous student and faculty programs and compliance requirements, and agency accountability and risk management activities. Before joining the Chancellor’s Office, she served as a government auditor with the California Department of Finance.
Assistant Vice Chancellor Finche ensures that her team supports progress toward meeting the Vision for Success goals by always designing and deciding with students in mind and using data to make sound decisions. As a CPA and former auditor, she is committed to integrity, accountability, and transparency in financial and compliance reporting.
Assistant Vice Chancellor Finche earned her bachelor’s degree in history from UW Madison and her master’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in management information systems, from Chico State University. She also attended Butte Community College, where she gained a deep appreciation for the role the community college system plays in higher education.
