This unit is responsible for assisting community college districts in providing equal employment opportunity. It is also responsible for providing policy development, technical assistance, training, services, monitoring, and compliance activities. Some specific areas include: managing the Job Registry; coordinating technical assistance team visits to districts; assisting districts in developing and monitoring its faculty and staff diversity plans; monitoring several equal employment opportunity projects; and coordination of the John W. Rice Equal Employment Opportunity awards.
