Carl D. Perkins Career Technical Education Act of 2006
State Implementation

The Career Technical Education Act of 2006 was signed into law on August 12, 2006. The Act required that the state submit a new State Plan for Career Technical Education in Spring 2008. The Chancellor's Office developed these pages to bring the human resources of California and the community colleges in particular to bear on the development of issue papers that were used to inform policy as the new state plan for Career Technical Education was developed. The final Plan and an Executive Summary are available at.

The planning and development resources and documents for California’s implementation of the new Perkins (Perkins IV) Act are being made available to inform and generate input.
